MR1...good idea or not?

ok, i asked another paintball question earlier tongith and am still waiting for an answer, so if you get bored or anything an answer to that would be great too. Ok, my friend has an MR1 and I like it. I'm considering getting one. I play woodsball and thats why I want it. I know that a Tippmann would be a better choice, but the remanufactured MR1 I found is alot cheeper than even a 98 Custom (if i would rather have an A-5 if i got a tippmann) and while I could save up and buy one, I would get just enough money to buy the gun, but not upgrade it at all. With the MR1 I would have a bit of leftover money to put into it. I mainly would focus on keeping it nice and working smoothly and preformance (considering delrin bolt and striker, barrel, and spring kit) I would also consider the 07 Xtra since it has an option for matte black as a stock color choice and looks really cool and has more stuff avalible for it. only problem with it, is dirt gets in easier bc its open in the back.

Ok first of all stay away from remanufactured guns unless you know exactly how to fix them. I have known more than a few people who buy them thinking they got an "awesome deal" only to realize they are plagued with problems and try and sell them off to another unsuspecting player...heck ebay is full of these guns.

Second, and I know this is gonna hurt, but save up a bit more money and get something that will hold your interest for a while and be able to keep up if you decide to make the switch to speedball/xball. I highly recommend the pmr (proto matrix rail) that you can find for around 450 CDN (not unreasonable considering what you get). Or if you're stuck get a Smart Parts Ion.

Either of these should crush whatever your friends are using and you'll have a full warranty.
