my spyder xtra 07 chopps paintballs like crazy, please help!?
it is the gray gun and i dont have anything special bought for it, but i will buy things. every time i shoot it after about 40 or 50 paintballs one explodes in the barrel and it is pissing me off, and is the bolt anti chopping or not?
Using co2? Co2 can cause velocity spikes at times, which is the equivalent to occasionally having a paintball dragon-punched instead of propelled.
Or, as it's happening in the barrel, they could either be occasionally getting stuck (happens if a paintball is swollen or mis-shapen), then the next paintball smacks into it, breaking both, OR your detents are going bad and it's double-feeding, which can have the same result (one ball breaking another).
Finally, it could be the quality of the paintballs themselves. Old or just crappy paint can show poor performance like that.
The Xtra doesn't come stock with an anti-chop bolt (the first tell-tale sign is it'd be called an Xtra ACS - Anti Chop System - and i don't think Kingman ever did that). You can always check the bolt to see - take it out, hold the back of the bolt & try pressing the front in - it should feel springy... it should also look like it's made of 2 pieces.
I've had a spyder e99 & older xtra, neither of which chopped, let alone that much.

Blue Kingman Spyder Xtra?
I just got this Spyder Xtra, the all blue and silver blue...not the blue and gray. This has a really shiny blue... Anyway, i was wondering where i adjust the velocity of the gun... I have the little crowbar tool. and i looked in the back where it's supposed to be but it wasnt there.
